Two separate quick landscapes done in acrylics. The first is two red barns and the second is a shack in the woods.

Painting sketched and drawn in acrylic and pen

Both of these were drawn in charcoal pencil then highlighted with charcoal pencil and soft pastels.

I love creating art but I get a little stressed when I finish a piece. The reason…Blank canvas anxiety. I hate to move on to a new project. I he reason I have all these ideas running through my head. Ideas which run through my head seeking to be started.
I’ve discovered a couple tricks to help deter blank canvas anxiety.
1. Doodle with your brush. Pick a picture and start doodling it on the canvas. Try not to stick to specifics just let the brush do the talking.
2. Set a timer. Do the same as before, pick a picture or set an ideal in your mind. Then set a timer for say five minutes, ten at the most. Then using your chosen medium create. When the timer is done so are you.
These are the two I use the most but maybe you have your own ideas.
