I sometimes takes two pictures and make them one just to see what the outcome looks like. The picture of the girl on the beach is one. It is done in soft pastel and color pencil on a 6 x 9 whit drawing pad. Life is often like my picture two become one. Not just in marriage but there are times when God brings two people together for a moment, a season or a lifetime. Why? At times the reason are because we end them in our lives or they may need us. Other times the obvious reason isn’t’ there for us but maybe it is clear for the other person. The key is to embrace the people God puts you with even if you gave to give more than you receive.

The latest in a series I am doing of feau fashion drawings. This one is on an old 8×11 book page. One again I used soft pastels and color pencil to create the design. The picture itself is an abstract of a girl walking on the beach during a sunset. While I am not a beach person I love the beauty of the beach area. All to many times we stay indoors instead of getting out and seeing the beauty of God’s creation. There is so much nature has to offer if only we take the time to look.
The challenge for today was to draw something that had to do with sand. The first thing which came to mind was the beach. The second was Moses and the Israelites wandering in the wilderness. I can’t fathom wandering in the desert for forty years. An hour on the beach and I am done. While my wife is basking in the sun I prefer to wander in and out of thrift stores or see the local sites.
The gist of today’s message is this, we are all different. We have different likes, tastes, and things we like. Instead of complaining and whining when we are asked to do something we don’t like, embrace the differences and realize there will be times when you want to do something another person won’t like. There will also be times when they are going to be called on to embrace and do something they don’t like, something which you want. I am not talking about immoral activities. I am talking about daily life. For instance I go to the beach, because my wife loves the beach. The Bible says a true friend, “loves at all times.”
