This painting started out life as a red flower. I never really like the way the flower looked so I decided to do a repaint. Now the red flower is a purple flower. I am more satisfied with this one but still feel it needs more. The painting is done in acrylics using a 9×12 flat canvas panel.
A 9×12 abstract painting created using craft acrylic paints on cardboard. I created the background using an old credit card to scrape the paint. The rest is brushed on. I put the one black flower as symmetry for the rest on the painting. In art as in life all must work together to create something beautiful. There is great beauty when the pieces of life/art join as one.
I seem to be stuck on renderings of flowers lately. I like flowers because like Faces God does not create two exactly alike. We live in a world of variety so instead of using phases like, “I don’t see…,” embrace the world in all its glorious variety.
There are some pictures which inspire me to try them just to see what the end result. The original picture had whit flowers. I felt compelled to add a touch of pink. I just think it adds something to the picture. I used a pen to highlight the vase and stems them overplayed soft pastels. The background is a yellow piece of 9 x 12 scrapbooking paper.

I like the idea that each flower is unique and there are many colorful varieties. Well anyway I hope you like my flowers.

I offer to you another drawing of flowers. These are part of a field of bright orange flowers. I think as Christians we are like this field of bright orange flowers. We need to shine forth the love of Jesus to others. So I hope on this Super Bowl Sunday we remember we are all part of a winning team. Someday when we reach the goal line we will see Jesus welcoming us as we cross the finish line of this world and into the next.
