Why An Art Blog?

An art blog is actually a tedious, time consuming venture. Especially when it comes to keeping things fresh because your blog is only as good as your latest post. So why start one? Why take some of your creating time to put yourself out there?

For me it started out as a personal calling from God and while I do not publish as many devotions as used to it is still about creating art with the purpose of glorifying Him.

Somewhere along the lines my blog became a challenge. A challenge to create 1001 pieces of art. Some of the pieces I post may not be good they are still art. A lot of what I post is me experimenting, practicing or just having fun. Some are finished pieces. Ready to be sold.

Again the question, why an art blog? Well the answer is simple for me. To get my work seen by as many people as possible, not for my benefit, but the benefit of showing other self taught artists your work can be seen by others. Just get up the courage to post your creations.

There are times when I need some quiet I decide to paint. There are other times when I pick up a pass paining in those times and redo it. The 5 x 7 acrylic painting was once just a plain colored pencil drawing. I decided to redo it in acrylics. I hope you like it.
