#442 Girl in A Yellow Dress
Every so often I am drawn to create a piece of what I call fashion doodle art. I pick a pose, then choose dress color and style then create the drawing. Today’s drawing is the end result this time. To create this one I used Prisma Color Pencils on a 9×11 old book page.
#410 Waitin’ For Spring to Blossom
It seems this year winter is trying to keep hold. I however know Spring is here and soon the flowers will bloom and the blossoms will pop. They always say good things come to those who wait. God also wants us to be patient and wait for the good things He promises us. So on this Easter weekend remember those who patiently waited for Messiahs arrival then had to renew their faith and patience when He went to the cross.

I know it has been spring for several days now but it hasn’t really felt like spring. However the temps are going up so now I feel it is time to declare, Spring has sprung. The painting was done using pen, pastels, and some highlights in acrylic.
#393 Sprinkled by Some Stardust
Most of us live our lives with a little stardust in our eyes dreaming of what may come. Thinking of the people we can become or of the money we can make. There is nothing wrong with a few dreams in life as long as we remain focused on what is important. Zacchaeus was man who had a certain vision for his life until on day he met a man named Jesus who changed his life forever. The same is true of us. When you enter into a relationship with Jesus your life changes. The stardust drops from your eyes and you see things as they truly are.
#386 Lost Coin Found
In the Bible there is a parable about a woman who loses a coin. The woman then spends time seeking the coin and when she finds it she rejoices. The parable shows God’s love for us. The lost coin I believe represents a sinner who then comes to a saving faith in Jesus. I also think it opens up to us a look into our lives and what we see as important. Many times we seek after earthly treasures and when we get them we rejoice but we spend very little time seeking after the One true God. What we need to do is switch our priorities.

I offer to you another drawing of flowers. These are part of a field of bright orange flowers. I think as Christians we are like this field of bright orange flowers. We need to shine forth the love of Jesus to others. So I hope on this Super Bowl Sunday we remember we are all part of a winning team. Someday when we reach the goal line we will see Jesus welcoming us as we cross the finish line of this world and into the next.
Daily Drawing #265, A Pencil is the Number One Drawing Tool
My favorite drawing tool is a pencil. Mostly I use a standard #2 like the ones we used to use in school before they created those mechanical ones. I carry a pad and pencil with me whenever I can. If not I figure there is always going to be some paper and a pencil wherever I go. Having a piece of paper and a pencil in hand gives me an opportunity to create drawings like the one above. the drawing is a doodle come to life. I love to draw and hope to get better and better. Drawing is one of those crafts you get better at the more you create art. Our Christian life is like that. The more we study the Bible the more we will grow in our faith.
Daily Drawing #175, Peace, Peace, Perfect Peace
The title of my drawing today is, “Give Me A Little Peace.” When I was kid I knew a lot of people who were hippies. There favorite greeting was to say was, “Peace Man.” Wouldn’t it be great if we all knew real peace especially in the world we live in now. One of my favorite books of the Bible is James and one of my favorite verses is James 3:18 ESV, “And a harvest of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.” I am not quarrelsome person I love to be at peace because to me to get peace from others you need to be a bearer of peace and love to others. Oh what our world be if our social media was filled with peaceful messages instead of full of barbs and hate.
