This 18×20 acrylic painting started out as as me playing with unique methods of applying paint. The underlying part of the painting was done by scraping the paint across the canvas. The second layer was done using a bath puff. This is whe an image of the girl appeared to me. The last layer of the white dress was done with a bath puff and the rest was done using the usual paint brushes.

Once you get your Christmas tree you have to get it home. This latest illustration, done on an old book with soft pastels and color pencils, pays homage to the age old tradition of getting your perfect tree home.

The drawing on the left is a quick sketch of a father and daughter looking for the perfect tree. The drawing is done in color pencil. The one on the right was done using acrylic paints and soft pastels.
