A simple pen drawing highlighted with Crayola Twistable Color Pencils. The drawing was done on 8×10 whit paper. The drawing while a lans ape drawing is also an abstract of a man pushing his broken bike up a hill. I would like like to says life is like the broken bike there are times we must push our broken bike relying on God to help us make our way.

It is hard to say good-bye to loved ones who leave us. Their memories linger in our hearts and remember them in our hearts. This pastel drawing done an 8×10 old book page pays homage to these memories.
#500 and 501 White Flower Two Mediums
Well I’ve reached the midway point of my 1001 drawings/paintings challenge. The two paintings today are of the same flowers and are both done on 6×9 inch Strathmore paper. The flower on the left was painted in soft pastels which were then lightly brushed with water. The one on the right was done using oil pastels. I like certain aspects of both but just like life there are things I’d like to redo. I hope you like them.

I did one drawing of old tin toys on an old 8×11″ book page. This is number two done in color pencil and black pen. I have a couple more in the series to do.

Today’s painting was done using acrylic paintings on an 8×10 canvas panel. The painting started out as just a scraped painting then the vase and flowers were added.
#497 Walking in Sunshine
A man walking along along a deserted street in the early morning light when the sun is blinding and it is hard to see. The painting is done in oil pastels on 6×9 Strathmore drawing paper. I love a good sunrise. The beauty of the sun peeking over the horizon then as the sun rises everything is bathed in an orangish glow. At times you have to look away. There are times in my Christian life that I look into the word of God and find sheer beauty as the words rise from the page and into my heart. There are other times when I must look away because I’m blinded by the truth found there. God said the light will illumine all been those hidden things in our hearts.
