In the high school I work at I come in contact with a variety of people. Some of them have developed their own styles or looks. the sad commentary on our society is that we judge many of those we come in contact with by what we see. I have learned from early on in life not to make a decision about anyone by how they may choose to dress or look. I always seek to know a person’s heart where the truth of a who a person is lies. So my advice is to try and do the same. Seek to get to know someone whom you might have otherwise not have any interest to know.
This country…actually the world needs to be reminded of this way of thinking so desperately!!
I learned that when I noticed I had pegged this person to be a smug,shallow imbecile and after a few hours I noticed…WOW good thing I didn’t voice to anyone who has there what I had thought because I was pleasantly surprised by the way he carried himself and the way he spoke also!
The decision was then confirmed by the way he actually listened to whom ever was talking with him!! He wasn’t just waiting for the person talking to stop only because he wanted say whatever he wanted….does that even make sense!? Hopefully it does. I’ve never forgot about learning that lesson. Probably the easiest and obvious lesson I’ve EVER learned! Sorry so long.
